Sara visiting C.L. Smith Hay & Grain last October.

Sara’s Town is a YouTube series created, written and hosted by Sara McMahon. The format for Sara’s videos is always done in an interesting and kid-friendly way.

Sara’s fun and unique videos feature the people and businesses of the Hemet-San Jacinto Valley, Riverside County, California.

Sara’s vision is to be a positive role model for children. She wants to “Help kids be kids” by letting them enjoy the everyday blessings all around us. Sara especially loves featuring stories right in her own hometown.

Look for this month’s Sara’s Town to possibly feature a local equestrian center, with other upcoming videos to possibly include Mulligan’s Family Fun Center in Murrieta, the Agri-Empire setting up their Nativity Scene in December and a visit to the Hemet Fire Department in January.

About Sara’s video projects and local news, Sara’s mother, Tamara McMahon said she and her family, “…would someday love to see a real crew of young adults that are like Sara, that fall between the cracks of the system of high functioning disabled/spectrum disorders.”

One way or another, I know I will continue to enjoy Sara’s monthly videos and I hope you all will too!

If you would like to contact Sara or want to help support her and would like to buy one or more of her videos, her DVD’s and Blu-rays can be ordered at: [email protected]

About Sara!

From Sara’s mom Tamara: “Sara graduated from high school in 2010. She actually graduated with a regular diploma, despite her challenges. We tried to find a program through the IRC that would be fulfilling. We struggled through several programs but they were just, menial and frankly, boring. Nothing to challenge her “beautiful mind”.

So, in 2013 we asked her what she’s like to do!? She used to film little shows on her phone video camera for her own entertainment and she said she wishes she could do it for “real”. She said she’d like to host a YouTube show that promoted her valley and was good for everyone.

We prayed about direction, time and money to invest into it and…Long story short… We started Sara’s Town. This is a labor of love, as Art is a 27 year science teacher and I am employed by IHSS. We all brainstormed where to visit next and try to plan out a few places at a time.

Business’ and families have been fabulous and welcoming and just a Godsend. It’s been a blessing and a blast. For the hubby… It’s about ten hours of editing, but you know you do anything for your children! Even our oldest help with video when he’s available!”
