Pinyon Pines, Calif.; At 3:31 emergency first responders from California Fire arrived in the area of the reported accident and began searching for the downed motorcyclist.

At 3:38 p.m. first responders reported to their dispatch center they had located the downed motorcyclist to the west of a horse campground in the area.

At 4:01 p.m., first responders confirmed the motorcycle accident to be a fatality and requested the California Highway Patrol and Riverside County Coroner respond to the location.

ACCIDENT REPORTEDLY OCCURRED ON HWY 74 IN PINYON PINES NEAR MM 80

There has just been a possible motorcycle fatality reported to the California Highway Patrol in the area of Pinyon Pines near Mile Marker 80 on the area known as the Pines To Palms Highway.

At approximately 3:09 p.m. a female hiker was walking with her dog in the area, when she came upon what she believed to be a fatal motorcycle accident. The caller reported being too afraid to go near the body. However, based on what she could see, she stated it appeared to be a fatal accident.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency first responders have been dispatched to the area.

The area is described as 28 miles from Mountain Center and 21 miles from Anza on Highway 74. The area is known as the Pines To Palms Highway.

It is not yet known if the downed motorcyclist was riding a trail on a dirt bike or if the accident involved a street motorcycle.

The reporting party stated she would be standing by in the area with a whistle to guide first responders into the area.
