Norco Sheriff’s Conduct Successful Traffic Safety and Speed Enforcement Operation

Norco, Calif.; On Friday, November 6, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Norco station conducted a Traffic Safety and Speed Enforcement Operation as part of its commitment to public safety.

The objective of their ongoing traffic enforcement program is to reduce the number of traffic collisions occurring within the city of Norco. Deputies focused their enforcement in areas based on collision data and complaints received from area residents.

Friday’s Traffic Safety and Speed Enforcement Operation was conducted at the following three residential areas:

  1. Second Street and Valley View Avenue
  2. Fourth Street and Sierra Avenue
  3. Fifth Street and Hillside Street

Operation Enforcement Results:

A total of 89 citations were issued and 3 vehicles were towed.  The citations included the following violations, the below numbers reflect some citations that received multiple charges:

  • 83 for speeding above the posted speed limit.
  • 5 for driving unlicensed or suspended.
  • 4 for failing to stop at a stop sign.
  • 3 for not wearing a seatbelt.
  • 3 for expired registration.
  • 1 for distracted driving.
  • 1 for causing gridlock.
