Riverside Resident Identified In Fatal Motorcycle Accident

A Riverside resident died Sunday, Nov. 15, in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on the Main Street off-ramp off the westbound 60 freeway in Riverside. No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the fatal accident.

At about 9:12 p.m., Brandon Staddan, 31-years-old, was exiting from the westbound 60 freeway at the Main Street off-ramp in Riverside when the accident occurred.

According to California Highway Patrol spokesman, Officer Travis Monks, Staddan was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when for reasons still under investigation, he suddenly swerved off the road on the Main Street off-ramp and was thrown from the motorcycle he was riding.

According to a press release from the Riverside County Coroner’s Office, Staddan was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m.

About the incident, Officer Monks stated Staddan was wearing a helmet at the time of the fatal accident; however, he may not have been wearing it properly.
