Temecula POP Team Arrests Area Resident In Possession Of Stolen Vehicles, Farm Equipment, More

Temecula, Calif., Since September 2015, deputies assigned to the Southwest Station have been actively investigating a series of thefts throughout the Temecula area. On Monday that investigation led to the arrest of a Temecula resident.

Through thorough and exhaustive investigative means, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Temecula Police Station’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) team developed investigative leads regarding these thefts. The team has been assisting the Southwest Station’s patrol division in this ongoing investigation.

On Monday, November 16, deputies assigned to the POP team conducted a probation search in the 40000 block of Angora Ln., Temecula.

During the service of that search warrant at the location, the deputies located a number of high value stolen property. A series of records checks revealed the discovered property was taken from various locations throughout the southwest county area and from within the city of Temecula

Confirmed items of stolen property located at the residence included:

  • Chevrolet truck
  • GMC truck
  • John Deere tractor
  • Welding equipment
  • Two generators

Jorge Camacho, a 35-year-old of Temecula, was arrested for possession of stolen property and violation of probation. Camacho was later booked into the Southwest Detention Center.

In a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Sergeant Chris Gaskins wrote, “The Temecula Police Department is dedicated to maintaining a high quality of life and encourages citizens to report any suspicious activity they observe.  Anyone with questions about this investigation can contact Officer D.
