Writers note: I am aware of this victim’s name and his connection to the valley, however I will not ever release a victim’s identification until official release from the coroner’s office or without permission from the family. In this case, I have chosen not to contact the family, due to the sensitive nature of their position within the community and the (non-criminal) nature of the victim’s death.

SAN JACINTO – On Sunday, Dec. 6, CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters, California Highway Patrol officers and deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto and Hemet stations responded to the report of a major, single vehicle traffic collision on Esplanade Avenue, in San Jacinto.

Multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle had crashed in an embankment, adjacent to the roadway, 500 feet east of Villines and was on fire.
