MEAD VALLEY – Fatal Shooting At Cedar and Clark Intersection Under Investigation

On Monday, December 14, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Station investigated a fatal shooting that occurred at the intersection of Cedar St. and Clark St. in Mead Valley.

At approximately 12:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the T-intersection, in the rural, unincorporated community, where they found a victim who had been shot. Deputies summoned emergency first responders to the location to provide medical attention to the gunshot victim, who has only been described as an adult male. AMR and CAL FIRE personnel responded and provided medical attention to the victim.

The victim was transported to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries sustained in the shooting incident. A coroner’s report listed the victim’s time of injury as 12:34 p.m. and his time of death as 2:00 p.m.

In a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Sgt. Rob Thompson wrote, “Investigators from the Perris Sheriff Station and investigators from the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. This investigation is ongoing and the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.”
