HEMET: Whoville PD nabs two would-be Grinches – caught while burglarizing United Way

HEMET – With just two days until Christmas, officers from the Hemet “Whoville” Police Department foiled a would-be pair of Christmas Grinch’s who were intent on ruining the holiday joy for those who need help and a bit of joy the most. After breaking into the Central County United Way, the duo was taken into custody.

Chief Brown, who sits on the Board of Directors for the CCUW, was reportedly shaken by the brazen attempt to steal from the needy the organization supports. Chief Brown had this to say, “The United Way helps so many people all year long but they really do some great work during the holiday season; and to have someone try to take from the people who are helping needy children is simply unacceptable.”

 

Here is my take on the whole matter:

 

Like all Grinch’s who think their dastardly plans will succeed,

this pair of Grinch’s broke into the CCUW, which helps those most in need.

 

From the CCUW came an alarm activation,

but at 3:35 in the morning, who would break into such a location?

 

Speedy Whoville officers, who are never outmatched,

were at the location less than one minute dispatched.

 

Our most trusted Whoville officers – who are always astute,

quite quickly determined that a crime was afoot.

 

Finding a forced open window, it became quickly apparent

there was nothing good these Grinch’s could possibly have meant.

 

Knowing they would be caught but with nothing left but to hide,

As expected, once caught these Greedy Grinch’s took a long ride.

 

One Grinch was found hiding like a mouse under a desk.

The other was found quivering in a trailer, just like the first pest.

 

Off to jail the two Grinch’s eventually were taken.

Our own Chief of Police, reportedly was shaken.

 

On the Board of Directors and an avid CCUW supporter,

Chief Brown had this to say about the foiled Christmas near-horror,
