HEMET: Yet another AB 109 Probationer arrested for residential burglary

HEMET – A burglary in progress call led to a foot pursuit and the arrest of two subjects, one of whom was out of jail as an AB 109 Probationer.

On January 19, Hemet Police Dispatch received a call from a concerned citizen reporting a possible residential burglary in progress. The call came into the 911 Communications Center at 3:22 p.m., and was reportedly occurring in the 3600 block of Sydney Street.

Hemet Police Officers immediately responded to the residence and witnessed two subjects running out the back door and before they jumped over a fence.

Officers established a perimeter around the area and eventually apprehended both subjects attempting to flee the scene.

Arrested for burglary and other charges were John Norcott and Alisha Adams. Norcott is an AB 109 Probationer, out of jail on early release.

One of the subjects arrested, identified as John Norcott, a 31-year-old transient, was found to be on AB109/Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). Norcott was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. A press released from Hemet PD indicated Norcott was booked into jail for residential burglary, petty theft and revocation of his PRCS release. The press release indicated Norcott was being held in lieu of 105,000 bail, however a jail records search showed Norcott was being held without bail.

Alisha Adams, a 26-year-old resident of Hemet was arrested for burglary. A jail records check showed Adams’ bail was set at $35,000.

  • Seriously, what’s it going to take for those of us that are very concerned about AB109, as well as Prop .47 REPEALED!!
    They have no place existing in our society.
    They are both very dangerous for the rest of us who do obey the law.
    Neither of these ridiculous propositions help protect the American people.
    They both need to be REPEALED as quickly as possible.
    Overcrowding?
    Build more prisons.
