HEMET: Felon arrested while in possession of guns and drugs, according to officials

Marcus Dillihunt was arrested for possession of two handguns and Methamphetamine following a traffic stop in East Hemet.

HEMET – A traffic stop conducted by Hemet Police officers on Mar. 4, led to the arrest of a Hemet resident after officers located two guns and a considerable amount of illegal drugs, according to Hemet Police officials.

Hemet Police officers conducted the traffic enforcement stop at about 10 a.m., in the eastern, unincorporated area of Hemet. Officers made the traffic stop after they observed the driver commit a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop the driver, identified as Marcus Dillihunt, 30, of Hemet, was found to be in possession of two concealed handguns as well as several grams of Methamphetamine.

Officers arrested Dillihunt for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked at the Hemet Police Department and later transferred to county jail. Dillihunt’s bail was set at $25,000.
