UPDATED: Ramona man killed in Temecula fatal rollover accident IDd
TEMECULA – A 32-year-old Ramona man died in a single-vehicle, rollover accident, Monday, June 6. The fatal accident occurred on Buck Road, east of Otis Street, in the unincorporated county area of Temecula. The fatal accident was reported to CHP officials at 11:51 p.m., according to a CHP release about the accident.
Riverside County Coroner’s officials identified the victim as Kevin Goedeker after his family was notified regarding his passing.
CHP officers, Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters, and paramedics responded to the traffic accident to provide medical assistance to the victim. However, Goedecker, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Public Information Officer Jennifer Fuhrman.
“The driver was travelling westbound on Buck Road east of Otis Street at an unknown speed,” according to CHP Officer S. Davidson, who investigated the fatal accident. “For unknown reasons, (Goedecker’s) vehicle left the roadway where it travelled down an embankment, struck some trees and overturned, Davidson explained in an accident report. Goedecker, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from his vehicle and sustained major traumatic injuries.
The coroner’s release listed Goedecker’s time of injury as 11:50 p.m. His time of death was listed as 12:02 a.m. The coroner’s release indicated Goedecker died in the front yard of Water Wise Oasis Nursery, a large property located at 39112 Otis Street.

The accident is being investigated by CHP officials, who have not yet determined the cause of the accident.
There were no reported witnesses to the fatal rollover, according to Davidson. CHP officials have asked that anyone who may have witnessed the accident contact CHP Officer Davidson at (951) 506-2000.
