HEMET – At 5:20 p.m. HPD received multiple calls from RP’s regarding a head on traffic collision in the area of Santa Fe x Fruitvale.

The initial report was two vehicles had collided head-on and that the driver of one of the two vehicles ran on foot into the adjacent apartment complex.

Upon arrival HPD found a multicolored older model Chevy Caprice, and a white 2016 Audi sedan. There were no injuries and all occupants were out of their vehicles.

After the initial collision, PD was on an area search looking for a male suspect that ran into the Echo Ridge Apartments located at 800 Sunjoy, road building B.

PD searched the area for quite a while. After searching, it was determined that the male seen in the apartment complex was not the suspect that was driving the Chevy Caprice.

The suspect remains at large.

Both vehicles had to be towed.
