Community invited to annual Valley-Wide Easter egg hunts

Families throughout the Hemet, San Jacinto and French Valleys and surrounding communities will want to mark their calendars for Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District‘s upcoming 2017 Easter egg hunts. Valley-Wide is offering events at three different locations this year.

Valley-Wide’s three events are scheduled to be held at the Diamond Valley Lake ball fields at 1801 Angler Avenue, near Domenigoni Parkway in Hemet; Rancho Bella Vista Park at 31757 Browning Street in Murrieta and Gibbel Park at the corner of Florida Avenue and Kirby Street in Hemet.

All three events are being held Saturday, April 15. The events are free and open for all to attend. Those planning on attending will want to check the attached links, as each event location has a different start time. (See additional information below.)

During the event, children twelve and younger will have the opportunity to hunt for Easter Eggs while having fun with their neighbors and friends, both new and old.

There will also be games, prizes and raffles for all those in attendance to enjoy.

Rumors have it that the Easter Bunny himself might make an appearance at the events. When contacted, Mr. Cottontail declined to comment, citing his busy schedule this time of year.

The scheduled Easter egg hunts have been divided into different age groups, to ensure children of all participating ages have fun.

The children’s age groups will be split between those who are 1 to 3, 4 to 5, 6 to 9 and 10 to 12.

Event organizers ask that all those who wish to participate in the Easter egg hunt bring their own baskets. They also remind that attendees are suggested to arrive early enough to allow time for parking. There is ample parking available at each of the three locations.
