HEMET: Arrests made after officers find three men in stolen Honda

HEMET — City of Hemet police officers arrested at least two people and detained a third person after they located three men inside a stolen vehicle, Sunday morning, Dec. 17. Officers found the vehicle near the intersection of S. Buena Vista Street and E. Central Avenue in Hemet.

Officers located the stolen vehicle, described as a white Honda sedan, shortly before 8 a.m., and detained three people who had been inside the car. The vehicle had been reported stolen from the city of Moreno Valley.

After a subsequent investigation, officers arrested 24-year-old, Darnell Louis Mora Jr., and 35-year-old, Robert Anthony Bargas. Both men were arrested without incident, according to witnesses.

After their arrests, both Mora and Bargas were transported to Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. Mora was booked on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation. He remains in custody, held on $50,000 bail. Bargas was booked on suspicion of possession of stolen property. He remains in custody, held on $10,000 bail.

No information was immediately available regarding the third person who was detained and it is not known if officers arrested or released the person following their investigation.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 grandchildren.
