City of Hemet police officers responded to the fast food restaurant about 11:30 a.m., after an employee and several witnesses called 911 to report the incident.

911 callers who saw the vandalism told emergency dispatchers the man, described as a Hispanic adult wearing a black hat, grey sweats and a blue over black hoodie, ran westbound from the area.

He was observed running through a field and last seen jumping over a brick wall into another parking lot.

Officers converged on the area and with assistance from Riverside County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit above in “Star-9” quickly located the fleeing man. He was arrested at the conclusion of officer’s investigation.

It was not immediately known why the man shattered the drive-thru window.
