City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments along with AMR medics responded to the 700 block of Juniper Street in Hemet just before 5 p.m., when the City’s Dispatch Center received a frantic 911 call reporting the emergency.

Hemet PD arrived at the home within one minute of the dispatched call and immediately began to assess and treat the young victim. As firefighters and AMR medics began arriving at the home an officer updated that the baby had begun breathing again and was alert and responsive.

As a precautionary measure the child and mother were both transported to Hemet Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. No updates were available regarding the victim, other than an official at the scene who advised the tyke should be fine and make a full recovery.
