UPDATE: San Jacinto ATV rider, 33, who died after ejected from quad ID’d

SAN JACINTO —  Officials have identified a man who died after he was ejected from an off-road all terrain vehicle last Saturday.

Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials identified 33-year-old San Jacinto resident Jose Sanvicente, Jr.as the victim killed in the fatal accident. A coroner’s release indicated Sanvicente was pronounced deceased at 3:23, about 12 minutes after the accident happened.

San Jacinto PD is still investigating the deadly crash and their accident investigation is ongoing.

 

SAN JACINTO — A person riding an all terrain vehicle in a San Jacinto residential neighborhood died after being ejected from their quad Saturday, July 21. The fatal accident happened on Verona Avenue near Messina Drive, northwest of Soboba Rd and Chabela Dr.

Deputies assigned to the San Jacinto Police Station and other emergency personnel responded to the area at 3:11 pm, after receiving a 911 call reporting the deadly crash.

When officials arrived they found a subject in the parking lot of The Country Club at Soboba Springs. A wrecked Yamaha quad was located nearby. Officials quickly determined the rider had sustained major traumatic injuries and medical personnel pronounced the rider deceased at the scene.

During their investigation, deputies determined the rider was traveling north on Verona Avenue toward the end of a cul-de-sac. When the rider hit a curb at the end of the street the person was launched over an embankment and the quad landed in a parking lot, ejecting the rider.

San Jacinto PD’s investigation is active and ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 27 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and has 13 children and 14 – soon to be 15 – grandchildren.
