According to Siskiyou County Sheriff’s officials, 46-year-old, Jason Cantrall, was last seen about 7 p.m., Sept. 30, “on ‘Cleghorn’ road where it splits up the mountain and has a large rock that says 1/2 on it,” according to friends and family members. He was reportedly wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black hat and driving a silver, 2012 Dodge Ram 1500, with CA license plates of 68356H2.

Sheriff’s officials are conducting active search and rescue operations in the area where Cantrall was last believed to have been, as well as the surrounding areas.

Officials later updated that the missing man’s truck had been located with its windows down in the Beaver Creek/Happy Camp area, but Cantrall had not been found and is still missing. The missing man’s hat was also found, not far from where the truck had been located.

Sheriff’s officials had requested air support, but CHP’s H14 was unable to get to the scene to search today due to the inclement weather and low cloud cover.

Anyone with information about Cantrall or who knows his whereabouts is encouraged to immediately contact Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (530) 841-2900.

Writer’s Note/Correction: Family members updated today that the missing victim resides in Crescent City, not Klamath Falls as previously reported.
