Two-vehicle Hemet rollover shuts down Menlo
HEMET — Officials are at the scene of a Hemet rollover accident that happened this afternoon, Tuesday, Oct. 9, on E. Menlo Ave., between Buena Vista St and N. Santa Fe St.

City of Hemet Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the scene of the crash about 2:15 p.m., after receiving reports of two vehicles that collided and a pickup truck that overturned.
When officials arrived they found a white, Chevy pickup truck on its side, blocking the roadway. A blue hatchback with moderate front and driver’s side damage sat in the middle of the roadway nearby.
Officers called for the temporary closure of Menlo Ave. while paramedics evaluated and treated the occupants from the two vehicles. It was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the collision or transported for further treatment.
The cause of the collision has not yet been determined and officials are still at the scene of the crash. Two tow trucks have been summoned and are responding to the scene to right the overturned pickup truck and remove the wrecked vehicles.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 14 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
