Officials seek information after woman murdered in Eastvale neighborhood

UPDATED: Monday, Nov. 26, 6 p.m., With victim’s identification.

EASTVALE — Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance and searching for information after a person shot and killed a woman in an Eastvale residential neighborhood directly east of Providence Ranch Park, Saturday evening, Nov. 24.

An unidentified man was seen running from the scene of the deadly shooting, which happened on the 13000 block of Jasper Loop, north of Aspen Leaf Ln., according to Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Walter Mendez.

Deputies assigned to Eastvale Police Station were dispatched to reports of “shots being fired” in the neighborhood shortly after 8 p.m.

When deputies arrived they found a woman deceased in the roadway, according to Mendez. Sheriff’s officials later identified the victim in a social media release as 28-year-old, Eastvale resident, Alicia Rene Lopez. It was not immediately known if Lopez lived near where she was fatally shot.

“One adult male was seen running from the location after the shooting,” explained Mendez, who said no further information was available at this time.

Based on the circumstances, Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit and Jurupa Valley Station Investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
