No foul play suspected after body found in Corona parking lot
CORONA — Officials are conducting a death investigation after the body of a 33-year-old man was found at a Corona strip mall, Monday afternoon, Nov. 26. There were no signs of foul play and the victim had a history of medical problems, according to officials investigating the victim’s death.

City of Corona Police and Fire Departments, along with other emergency personnel, responded to the area of South Main and E. Sixth streets, in a parking lot on the northeast side of the intersection, shortly after noon, Corona police Sgt. Chad Fountain explained after the victim’s discovery.
“The coroner examined the remains at the scene and said there is no indication of foul play,” explained Fountain, who said the identity of the man had not been confirmed, and it was unclear how many hours the body was there before passers-by called police.
Coroner officials will release the victim’s name once positive identification is made and the man’s family has been notified, according to Fountain.
During their initial on-scene investigation, officials cordoned off entrances to the mall, as well as a portion of the parking area outside a restaurant where the man’s body was discovered. The area was re-opened at the conclusion of officers’ investigation.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
