Man arrested after “series” of La Quinta indecent exposure incidents
LA QUINTA — Authorities announced the arrest of a man, who stands accused of a “series” of indecent exposure incidents in La Quinta, according to a sheriff official. A sheriff’s press release indicated the alleged suspect was believed to have been involved in at least four separately reported incidents.

Deputies assigned to La Quinta PD’s Special Enforcement Team were investigating a series of indecent exposure reports when they identified Gregory Sebastion Valdez, 25, of La Quinta, as a possible suspect, Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. David Smith later reported.

Based on their investigation, SET and La Quinta PD patrol deputies arrested Valdez at his Avenida Velasco residence shortly before 1 p.m., Saturday, May 11.
Jail records indicate Valdez was booked into Riverside County Jail in Indio on suspicion of a single count of indecent exposure and elder abuse. Smith did not specify what the elder abuse charge was related to in the sheriff’s press release. He was released the day after his arrest after posting $25,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Indio’s Larson Justice Center, July 11.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
