Man who fled from deputies arrested – stolen vehicle recovered
BURNEY — Sheriff’s officials in Burney recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a local man who tried to flee from them earlier today, Wednesday, May 29.

A deputy assigned to Shasta County Sheriff’s – Burney Mountain Station was conducting routine patrol in the 36000 block of Woods Ave., near Fir St. around 4:45 p.m., when he spotted a man and woman in a vehicle that matched the description of one that had been reported stolen. While the deputy was confirming with SHASCOM emergency dispatchers that the vehicle was stolen, the man fled on foot – leaving his female companion behind.

While other deputies were headed to the area to assist, the initial deputy detained the woman, a 27-year-old Burney resident, official radio traffic at the time indicated. Deputies updated that they had apprehended the man, later identified as 43-year-old, Shea Montgomery, just a few minutes later.
A subsequent records check indicated Montgomery had multiple prior law enforcement contacts and arrests in Shasta and Siskiyou counties; including attempted murder, domestic violence, and child abuse, as well as narcotics and other charges.
Based on their investigation, deputies arrested Montgomery and he was subsequently transported to Shasta County Jail in Redding to be booked on charges related to the incident and his arrest.
Montgomery’s companion was released without charges and the stolen vehicle was later towed from the scene.

During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.
Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 28 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.

Shasta County has gotten so riddled with Serious Crimes of all & every nature, the desent population is declining with that result, fewer tax dollars to fight crime and to “Serve and Protect”
Her Citizens isn’t happening. I’m happy to read here that Some Very Serious Criminals have been Captured! Now, Assign a Resident Sheriff Deputy to Lakehead, CA. Lakehead currently has -0- Hours Assigned to The Entire Lakehead Area which is a Large part of Shasta County, where Crimes are Committed, Reports aren’t Filed or Responded to but instead just “Logged In” and no investigations are done leaving Criminals to Continue Breaking the Laws without Consiquence.
Sheriff Tom Bosenko Shouldn’t be Re-Elected Again, due to his lack of Concern for “ALL” of Shasta County’s People.
I was happy to see some results and Arrests made by The Shasta County Sheriff Department in Burney, CA. The Good People of Lakehead, CA also Pay Taxes for The Shasta County Sheriffs Department and Should receive equal representation by the Sheriff’s Department.
