La Quinta shooting leaves 19-year-old victim dead
LA QUINTA — Authorities are investigating the La Quinta murder of a 19-year-old Cathedral City man that happened early Saturday morning, Oct. 26. The deadly shooting occurred at a private residence on the 52900 block of Ave. Madero, according to officials investigating the homicide.

Deputies assigned to the city of La Quinta were dispatched to the residence just after midnight, after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit Sgt. Ben Ramirez has since reported.
“Deputies arrived within minutes and located an adult male with gunshot wounds inside the residence,” explained Ramirez. “Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.”
Sheriff’s officials have since identified the victim as Anthony Carrillo.
Deputies secured the residence as a crime scene and requested assistance from Thermal Sheriff’s Station and Central Homicide Unit investigators, who responded and assumed the investigation.
The sheriff’s investigation is ongoing and officials have said no further information will be released at this time.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 15 – but soon to be 16 – grandchildren.
