Winchester man, 63, fatally stabbed in Hemet
HEMET — Authorities in Hemet are investigating the murder of a 63-year-old man after the victim was found inside his vehicle with a stab wound to his chest yesterday evening, Monday, Dec. 30.
Officials say they are speaking with a “person of interest”, but no arrests have been made after the deadly stabbing; which happened outside a business on the 1300 block of Oakland Ave., near San Jacinto St.

Officers began investigating the stabbing shortly before 6 p.m., after firefighters and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene regarding a medical aid call, Hemet Police Lt. Jeff Davis reported as the homicide investigation was getting under way.
When they arrived, Hemet Fire personnel located the bloody and lifeless body of a man inside a parked red SUV. Paramedics immediately pulled the victim from the SUV and began CPR and other life-saving efforts.

Witnesses at the scene later reported that paramedics continued CPR for about twenty minutes before the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials have since identified Inder Jit, 63, of Winchester, as the man who died. According to Davis, he was stabbed in the chest.
Davis also reported that officers were speaking with a “person of interest”, but the Lt. declined to provide any further details regarding their investigation; which is active and ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
