Redding search warrant uncovers drugs, weapons – 2 arrested
REDDING — Authorities in Redding say officers arrested two people in connection with a suspected drug house, after officials served a search warrant at the residence Thursday, Jan. 10. During the service of the search warrant, which occurred at a private residence on the 1900 block of 10th St., officers discovered and seized weapons, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and illegal narcotics.

After the warrant service and arrests, Redding PD’s Neighborhood Police Unit Sgt. Rob Peterson reported that over the past month, officers assigned to the department’s Neighborhood Police Unit have been investigating suspected drug activities and sales at the home.

Based on information gathered during their investigation, officers on Thursday served a search warrant at the home, at which time they seized two rifles, two handguns, paraphernalia, ammunition, and heroin.
During the warrant service officers detained several people who had been inside the home before ultimately arresting 39-year-old, Rhiannon Castillo, and 64-year-old, Rhys Neil Haner.
Castillo was booked into Shasta County Jail in Redding on suspicion of drug sales and possession of paraphernalia, while Haner was booked on suspicion of being a drug addict and felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, according to the Sgt., who later thanked the community for their assistance in this investigation.
Online jail records indicate Haner remains in custody in lieu of $10,000 bail and that Castillo is no longer in custody.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
