DUI suspected after deadly Menifee rollover crash

MENIFEE, Calif. — Drunk driving is suspected after a deadly rollover crash in Menifee that killed a man late Wednesday evening, May 6. The fatal accident happened on McCall Blvd., east of Sun City Blvd.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the area just after 10:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a solo-vehicle crash and rollover, Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Howard Hibbler reported after the deadly crash.

When officials arrived at the scene they found a grey Honda sedan that overturned before coming to rest back on its wheels half in and half out of the roadway.

Despite life-saving efforts, the driver, who was not wearing his seat belt when the crash happened, sustained major injuries and passed away at the scene.

The victim’s name has not yet been released, pending further investigation and notification of the man’s family.

Based on the circumstances, Traffic Reconstruction Team members from Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

“The preliminary investigation showed a motorist driving a Honda Accord, was traveling eastbound on McCall from southbound Sun City Blvd. when the unidentified driver lost control, rolled his vehicle, and collided with the curb,” explained Hibbler; who reported that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the deadly accident.

While officials worked at the scene they called for the temporary closure of McCall Blvd. at the intersection of Sun City Blvd.The roadway was reopened a few hours later.

Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
