Injuries reported after violent San Jacinto wreck
SAN JACINTO, Calif. — Details are beginning to emerge after a collision between a pickup truck and passenger sedan yesterday morning, Friday, July 3.
According to witnesses at the scene, at least two people were hospitalized after the crash, which happened on Ramona Expressway near Bridge St., in an unincorporated area of San Jacinto near the community of Nuevo.
The accident was the first of two serious collisions to occur within a three mile span of Ramona Expressway yesterday, including another major injury, DUI-related, head-on crash that happened near Warren Rd. later in the evening.

CHP, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Cal Fire-Riverside, and AMR were dispatched to the scene about 10:39 a.m., after receiving reports of a two-vehicle traffic collision.
When officials arrived they found two wrecked vehicles, described as a silver, full-size Dodge Ram and grey Toyota sedan.

The sedan was found off the roadway, while the heavily-damaged pickup truck was left blocking the westbound lane of travel.
Officers reported that vehicle parts and debris were scattered across the roadway, leaving the Expressway temporarily impassable.
While CHP began investigating the cause of the collision, fire and rescue personnel began treating the injured occupants from the two vehicles.
Witnesses later said at least two people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their unspecified injuries.

Although CHP and Cal Fire implemented one-way traffic control past the scene of the collision, traffic in both directions was soon backed up several miles; with lengthy delays in travel times reported by commuters and area motorists.
CHP’s investigation into the cause of this crash is active and ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 16 grandchildren.
