When officials arrived they found two wrecked vehicles, described as a red Hyundai Elantra and red Chevy S-10 pickup truck.

Both vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and vehicle parts and debris were scattered across the roadway and dirt center median.

Although one person was trapped inside their wrecked vehicle, firefighters managed to quickly extricate the victim and began treating them for their injuries.

At least two were transported to a local hospital with injuries a firefighter at the scene described as minor.

Although beer cans were scattered across the road where the collision occurred, as of this report it was unknown if alcohol or drug intoxication were considered to be contributing factors in the collision.

Hemet PD is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
