Murdered at suspected marijuana grow house, 7 Aguanga shooting victims ID’d

AGUANGA, Calif. — Officials have released the names of seven people who were fatally shot at a private residence in the unincorporated area of Aguanga, about 18 miles east of Temecula, early Monday morning, Sept. 7.

The home where the deadly shootings occurred, located on the 45000 block of Highway 371, was later determined to be the site of an illegal marijuana grow operation, authorities have said of the deadly incident and ongoing investigation.
The victims of this homicide have been identified as:
- 53-year-old male Khamphour Nanthavongdovane
- 54-year-old female Phone Chankhamany
- 64-year-old male Vikham Silimanotham
- 59-year-old female Khamtoune Silimanotham
- 48-year-old female Souphanh Pienthiene
- 47-year-old female Thongpath Luangkoth
- 44-year-old female Samantha Sourignasak
Although no arrests have been made and authorities have not publicly named any potential suspects the sheriff’s investigation is active and ongoing.

AGUANGA, Calif. — Officials say seven people were fatally shot at a private residence in the unincorporated area of Aguanga, about 18 miles east of Temecula, early Monday morning, Sept. 7.
The home where the deadly shootings occurred, located on the 45000 block of Highway 371, was later determined to be the site of an illegal marijuana grow operation, authorities have said of the deadly incident and ongoing investigation.
“This appears to have been an isolated incident,” Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Carroll has since reported; adding, “There is no threat to the general public.”

Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the residence around 12:30 a.m., after receiving the report of an assault with a deadly weapon, Carroll reported as the investigation was getting underway.
When deputies arrived they located a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Although the victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment, she later succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
Deputies also discovered six other victims who had been shot, according to Carroll; who said, “All six victims at the location died as a result of their injuries.”
“In total, seven victims died as a result of this incident,” Carroll explained.
None of the victims’ names have been released pending further investigation and notification of their families.
Hemet Station and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit investigators were summoned and have since assumed the murder investigation.
“Evidence located at the scene indicated the location was being used to manufacture and harvest an illicit marijuana grow operation,” Carroll described; saying more than one-thousand pounds of marijuana and several hundred marijuana plants were found at the home and on the property.
Although deputies searched the area for any potential suspects and are continuing to follow up on leads related to the fatal incident, no arrests have been made, according to Carroll; who said the investigation is ongoing.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 29 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
