An officer with the Anderson Police Department conducted the traffic stop just after midnight after observing a minor vehicle code violation.

While speaking with the driver, since identified as Brian Arthur White, 50, of Redding, the officer learned White was driving on an expired California driver’s license and he was detained as a result.

Brian Arthur White, 50, of Redding, was arrested after an Anderson traffic stop uncovered more than 2 ounces of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe. His passenger, Jamie Lynn Nelson, 40, of Redding, was found in possession of approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine.

“Upon further investigation, White was found in possession of over 2 ounces of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe,” Anderson PD officials wrote in a social media release after the traffic stop and arrests.

White’s passenger, Jamie Lynn Nelson, 40, of Redding, was found in possession of approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine.

Based on the investigation, White was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of methamphetamine for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on an expired license.

Online jail records indicate White has been released and is no longer in custody.
