Eastvale pedestrian dies after struck by vehicle

EASTVALE, Calif. — Authorities in Eastvale are investigating a deadly accident after a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Limonite Ave. near Hamner Ave., Monday evening, Sept. 21.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Eastvale Station and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene at 9:48 p.m., after receiving reports of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian, Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Lemsisanith has since reported.

The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries, according to Lemsisanith.

The victim’s name has not yet been released, pending notification of her family.

Members of the Eastvale Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and have assumed the investigation.

Westbound Limonite Ave. near Hamner Ave. was closed for the duration of the investigation.

Although the Sheriff’s investigation is continuing, alcohol and/or drug intoxication do not appear to be factors in the deadly accident, according to Lemsisanith.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
