SAN JACINTO, Calif. — Officials have identified a man who died inside the Country Lake Mobile Home Community, northeast of State Street and Quandt Ranch Road, in San Jacinto Friday morning.

Authorities this morning identified Gabriel Sanchez, 31, of San Jacinto, as the man who died inside the 55+ manufactured home community.

Although officials have said the victim was found “with obvious trauma” in front of a residence within the mobile home park, they have not yet said where or how the man received the injuries that resulted in his death.

Citing their ongoing investigation, Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit Sergeant Ben Ramirez said in today’s update that no further details would be released at this time.

Original Story: Few details released after San Jacinto murder

SAN JACINTO, Calif. — Members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit today are continuing to investigate the murder of a male they say died from “obvious trauma” in an unincorporated area of San Jacinto yesterday morning, Friday, Nov. 6. Officials say no arrests have been made in the homicide.

Although very few details have been released and officials have not specified where the victim received his fatal injuries, the male’s body was found within the Country Lake Mobile Home Community, northeast of State Street and Quandt Ranch Road, according to officials.

Friday’s homicide was the third murder to rock the San Jacinto Valley over the last week; including a deadly shooting that happened outside Depot Deli in Hemet last Sunday morning, Nov. 1., followed by a shocking murder, which was captured on at least two cell phone cameras, in front of Milano Brothers Pizza and Italian Restaurant the next evening, Monday Nov. 2.

No arrests have been made in Sunday’s shooting, while two men were arrested after the shooting outside Milano’s.

Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the mobile home park at 8:08 a.m., after receiving a 911 call reporting a man down report, Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit Sergeant Ben Ramirez reported this morning.

When deputies arrived they found a male “with obvious trauma” in front of a residence, according to Ramirez; who reported that although emergency medical aid was provided the male succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene.

Ramirez did not specify the male’s age and the victim’s name has not yet been released, pending further investigation and notification of the person’s family.

While deputies secured the area as a crime scene and began the investigation, investigators from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit were summoned and responded to the scene, where they assumed the homicide investigation.

As the investigation was continuing area residents of the large, 55+ manufactured home community, which features a 4-acre lake and two natural ponds, reported being told to stay away from the crime scene. Other residents who were not home when the incident was reported later complained about not being let back into the park; which sits just south of the San Jacinto River Park and west of the Soboba River bed.

Due to the early and ongoing nature of the investigation, Ramirez said no additional details or information were available as of this report.
