Murder investigation continuing after man’s body found in Hemet

HEMET, Calif. — Authorities today are continuing a murder investigation after a man’s lifeless body was discovered along a rural road in the 34000 block of Bautista Road, an unincorporated county area in the hills southeast of Hemet late Monday afternoon, Nov. 30.

Deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the area at 4:34 p.m., after receiving a 911 call reporting an unconscious male adult on the mostly dirt, rural road that connects the communities of Hemet and the Anza Valley, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Richard Carroll has since said of the ongoing murder investigation.

“Upon arrival, they found a deceased male adult with obvious trauma,” Carrol reported. “Deputies secured the area and began an investigation.”

Investigators from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim’s name has not been released, pending positive identification and notification of the man’s family.

“This is an active investigation, and no additional details are currently available,” said Carrol.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
