Wanted for Anderson robbery, women dies from apparent overdose

ANDERSON, Calif. — A wanted woman who was being sought after being identified in a November Anderson robbery was found dead from an apparent drug overdose, according to officials who had issued a warrant for the woman’s arrest and had been actively searching for her.

Officials did not specify if the woman’s overdose was possibly related to her robbery warrant or was accidental and her name is still being withheld.

City of Anderson police officers began searching for the suspect on Nov. 28, after employees at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Anderson reported an armed robbery that had just occurred.

“The clerks of the business reported being confronted by a white female adult wearing a face covering who was armed with a knife and demanded money,” Anderson PD said of the robbery. “The female suspect stole money from the cash register and left with an undisclosed amount.”

Over the next two weeks Anderson PD officers and detectives obtained physical evidence at the scene which was submitted to the California Department of Justice for latent fingerprints and DNA analysis.

“Through additional investigative means, officers learned the suspect had been dropped off at the location by a second party in a vehicle,” APD said; adding, “Officers located the driver of that vehicle and learned they had no knowledge or involvement in the robbery.”

“Officers continued their investigation and were able to identify the suspect through additional investigative means,” and a warrant was issued for her arrest, APD continued.

Despite conducting surveillance on locations the woman was known to frequent she was not located.

Last Monday, Dec. 7, officials learned the robbery suspect had died of a possible drug overdose, according to officials; who said, “This death is still being investigated and the identity of the decedent is not being released at this time.”

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
