Officials searching for Redding bank robber

REDDING, Calif. –Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a Redding bank Friday afternoon, April 16. The unidentified man managed to flee the bank after being given an undisclosed amount of money, according to officials who said that despite an intensive, multi-agency search the alleged bank robber was not located.

Friday’s robbery was the second incident involving a Redding bank this month, after an April 1 attempted robbery involving a man who was sent penniless and packing after demanding, but not receiving, any money from the Banner Bank at 880 Cypress Avenue. The man in that attempted robbery was arrested within three minutes of the dispatched call, officials said at the time.
