During their investigation deputies began searching for the alleged gunman, identified as 72-year-old, Michael Allen Cain, of Redding, as well as a tan Chevy sedan he was seen driving.

Officials eventually located the suspect’s vehicle parked outside a Round Table Pizza off of Westside Road, in the Westwood Village in south Redding. The suspect was located and arrested without incident.

After his arrest, Cain was transported to the Shasta County Jail in Redding where he was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon/firearm. Online jail records indicate he remains in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail or bond.
