During their preliminary investigation CHP determined the rider, whose name has not yet been released, was riding her motorcycle westbound on SR-91, approaching Pierce Street just before the crash.

“For reasons still under investigation, the rider lost control of her motorcycle, causing her to be ejected,” said Quintero.

CHP’s investigation is ongoing.
