Lake Elsinore search warrant uncovers stolen property, BHO lab, meth

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. — Authorities say a Lake Elsinore search warrant led to the arrest of two people and recovery of stolen property Tuesday morning, April 20. During the service of the warrant deputies discovered a working butane honey oil (BHO) lab and methamphetamine.

As part of an ongoing investigation, at around 9:30 a.m. the Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 16400 block of Pinyon Street, in the city of Lake Elsinore, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Jeff Reese has since reported.

“During the service of the search warrant several previously reported stolen items were located and recovered as well as a marijuana conversion lab (honey oil), and methamphetamine,” explained Reese.

Devin Wayne Stein, 40, and Colete Michele Shellnut, 30, who are both Lake Elsinore residents, were arrested at the location and later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta suspicion of possession of stolen property, manufacturing of a controlled substance, and possession of narcotics.

Online jail records indicate both Stein and Shellnut were released within hours of their arrest with a citation to appear in court on June 3.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
