Deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with Cal Fire-Riverside and other emergency personnel, were dispatched to the scene around 6:37 p.m. after receiving reports of a major injury collision with entrapment, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Lemsisanith and Cal Fire-Riverside reported after the fatal collision.

When officials arrived they found two vehicles, including a white 2015 Toyota Corolla and brown UPS truck.

The driver of the Toyota sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital where, despite life-saving efforts, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials have since identified the victim as Nathaly Lopez Millan, 28, of Bloomington. A coroner’s release indicated she was pronounced deceased at 7:37 p.m.

The driver of the UPS truck was also transported to a local area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the collision.

Members of the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Their preliminary investigation determined the UPS driver was turning left onto Armstrong Road from Gail Drive, when his vehicle was struck by the Toyota, which had been traveling southbound on Armstrong Road at a high rate of speed, according to Lemsisanith.

“It appears the Corolla struck the UPS truck (T-bone) without braking, as no evidence of pre-collision skids were present,” the Sergeant explained.
