Murrieta motorcyclist, 23, ID’d after deadly crash

MURRIETA, Calif. — Authorities say a motorcyclist was killed after colliding with another vehicle and being ejected from his motorcycle in Murrieta Friday evening, May 14. The deadly crash, which happened when a sedan turned left directly into the path of the oncoming rider, occurred at the intersection of Whitewood Road and Meadowlark Lane, according to officials.

City of Murrieta Police and Fire personnel were dispatched to the scene around 8:10 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist and passenger vehicle, Murrieta PD has since said of the deadly collision.

When officials arrived they found a motorcyclist down in the roadway with a Ducati motorcycle nearby. A Toyota Corolla with two injured occupants was also at the scene and both required medical treatment for injuries since described as minor.

The critically injured motorcyclist was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment where, despite live-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner officials have since identified the victim as Armarpaul Gill, 23, of Murrieta. A coroner’s release indicated he was pronounced deceased at 9:25 p.m.

Murrieta PD’s Traffic Reconstruction Team was summoned to the scene and assumed the investigation into the cause of Friday’s fatal collision.

Through witness statements and physical evidence at the scene, officers determined that Armarpaul had been traveling northbound on Whitewood Road when he struck a Toyota Corolla that was making a left turn onto southbound Whitewood Road from westbound Meadowlark Lane.

Murrieta PD’s investigation is ongoing and no further details have been released.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
