13 recent Mt. Shasta arrests – Including re-arrest of B&B owner accused of sexual assaults

So far this month, Mt. Shasta PD has received 488 total calls for service, averaging 17 calls per day. Of those calls, 47 resulted in new criminal cases being taken with 13 arrests being made.

  • On June 01, 2021 32 year old Trevor Jett Hanson was arrested for Disorderly Conduct & Battery on a Peace Officer. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 05, 2021 51 year old Candace Leann Baltar was arrested on an Outside Warrant. She was cited and released.
  • On June 11, 2021 57 year old Scott Brian Palmer was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance and outside warrants. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 12, 2021 26 year old Nicole Amber McNew was arrested for an outside warrant. She was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 20, 2021, 43-year-old Bevis G Walters was arrested for trespassing. He was cited and released.
  • On June 21, 2021, 32-year-old Trevor Jett Hanson was arrested for public intoxication. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 22, 2021, 32-year-old Trevor Jett Hanson was arrested for trespassing. He was cited and released.
  • On June 23, 2021, 73-year-old David Roy Knowles, Sr. was arrested on a warrant. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 24, 2021, 34-year-old Lacey Nicole Culbertson was arrested for public intoxication. She was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • On June 25, 2021, 30-year-old Dawa Norbu was arrested for brandishing an imitation firearm in a threatening manner and multiple other charges. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • Also on June 25, 2021 23-year-old Daniel Hill was arrested on outside warrants. He was cited and released.
  • On June 26, 2021, 33-year-old Matthew Paul Elkin was arrested for public intoxication. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.
  • Also on June 26, 2021, 52-year-old Michael Vincent Brama was arrested for being under the influence of a narcotic in public. He was booked into Siskiyou County Jail.

Trevor Montgomery, 49, moved in 2017 to the Intermountain area of Shasta County from Riverside County and runs Riverside County News Source (RCNS) and Shasta County News Source (SCNS).

Additionally, he writes or has written for several other news organizations; including Riverside County-based newspapers Valley News, Valley Chronicle, Anza Valley Outlook, and Hemet & San Jacinto Chronicle; the Bonsall/Fallbrook Village News in San Diego County; and Mountain Echo in Shasta County. Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
