San Jacinto man attacked, suffers life-threatening injuries

SAN JACINTO, Calif., — Authorities say a local man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was attacked in broad daylight outside a San Jacinto apartment complex yesterday afternoon, Sunday, Aug 15. The attack, which remains under investigation and has not yet to any arrests, happened at the Pine Tree Apartments in the 800 block of Minor Street

Deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene around 2 p.m. after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Mike Heath has since reported.
When officials arrived they found a 36-year-old resident of San Jacinto suffering from life-threatening injuries according to Heath; who explained that the victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Hemet News reported from the scene that the victim’s injuries included multiple stab wounds to his neck and back. Photographs from the scene showed blood soaked rags and clothing within a gated parking area near a silver Dodge Charger, which sat with its doors and hood open as officials documented the scene and collected evidence of the stabbing.
Based on the circumstances, Hemet Sheriff’s Station investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
“They learned the victim was standing in the parking lot of the location when he was assaulted,” Heath explained. “The suspect of the assault fled the scene and has not been located.”
The investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
