Recent RivCo GTF and GIT activities yield 24 arrests, 2 stolen vehicles, 8 firearms, drugs
SOUTHWEST RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif., — Recent Gang Task Force and Gang Impact Team parole and probation compliance sweeps, along with search and arrest warrants and other related activities over the last two weeks yielded impressive results, with a total of twenty-four adults being arrested for a variety of felony and misdemeanor charges.
In addition to the two dozen arrests, participating officers and deputies seized eight firearms and ammunition, as well as significant quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, Fentanyl, and other illicit narcotics, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant S. Dyer, of the Murrieta / Temecula Regional Gang Task Force has since said in a series of post-arrest press releases.

The entire Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of several local allied law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs and consists of numerous special teams, kicked of the last two weeks’ activities on Thursday, Sept. 23, when they conducted probation and parole compliance checks and saturation patrols throughout the cities of Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, and Winchester.
The participating special teams included the Regional Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID), the Riverside County Probation Department (Murrieta Office), State Parole, Central PACT Team, East PACT Team, the Murrieta Police Department’s Community Policing Team, the Murrieta Police Department SET Team, a Murrieta Police Department K-9, two CHP K-9’s, the Riverside Sheriff Department’s Lake Elsinore SET Team, the Menifee Police Department’s POP Team, the RSO SAFE / Human Trafficking Team, and the Riverside County Gang Impact Team.
During the six hour operation, which began at 9:30 a.m. and continued through 3:30 p.m., agencies and teams conducted forty-five probation searches and ten parole searches.
Twenty-one adults were arrested on a variety of charges as a result of the operation, that also resulted in the seizure of three firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine, heroin, and Fentanyl. Officers and deputies also recovered two stolen vehicles during the operation.
The names of those arrested during the operation were not immediately available.

Following up on the prior days’ activities, at around 3 p.m., members of the Region 4 Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force conducted a probation search of Richard Angels at his residence in the 30600 block of Briggs Road in the city of Menifee.
Angels is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and had several outstanding felony warrants for his arrest, according to Dyer.
Deputies arrested Angels at the location without incident and conducted a probation search; at which time they located two firearms and ammunition, as well as heroin and methamphetamine.

Later, at around 6:15 p.m. the same day, Region 4 Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force members were back out on the prowl and along with the Riverside County Gang Impact Team (GIT) responded to the 21800 block of Silver Run Circle in Wildomar with intentions of arresting Danny Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, who is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and is a documented criminal street gang member, had an active outstanding felony warrant for his arrest and ran from officials, who pursued the fleeing felon through several yards and across multiple properties.
When officials caught up with the running man he resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Following a probation search of Rodriguez’s vehicle and the area where he ran, officers located nearly a half-pound of methamphetamine. They also located several ounces of heroin, over two thousand dollars of US currency and a loaded firearm.

To close out their fruitful activities, on Oct. 1, October 1, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force served a weapon / gang related search warrant at an address in the 23700 block of Bundy Canyon Road the city of Wildomar.
As a result of the search warrant, detectives recovered two loaded handguns and methamphetamine and arrested one adult female on narcotics-related charges, according to Dyer; who said additional weapon related filings are possible.

He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.
Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
