Arrested for drug sales but released within hours, Shasta Lake woman sought after search warrant uncovers more drugs

CITY OF SHASTA LAKE, Calif., — A woman who was arrested last week for narcotics possession and drug sales-related charges – and subsequently released within hours of being booked – is now facing multiple additional charges after a search warrant at her City of Shasta Lake home uncovered a significant additional quantity of various narcotics, prescription medication, and indicia of ongoing narcotics sales.

As reported by SCNS after her arrest last week, the woman, 48-year-old Rebecca Lyons, was found to be in possession of more than one hundred pounds of marijuana, seven grams of methamphetamine, nine grams of cocaine, nearly three hundred prescription pain pills, and more than $10,000 in US currency.

Despite that and other narcotics sales-related arrests, during the service of a search warrant at her home, officials located and seized an additional 220 pounds of processed marijuana packaged for sales, approximately ten pounds of Butane Honey Oil (BHO), methamphetamine paraphernalia, and more prescription narcotic pills.

Officials have said Lyons was not home when the warrant was served and remains sought.

Lyons’ most recently came to the attention of authorities when she ran a red light and nearly crashed into a marked sheriff’s patrol vehicle last Friday, Dec. 3.

After conducting a traffic enforcement stop, the deputy discovered that Lyons was in possession of a significant amount of narcotics and arrested her, according to Shasta County Sheriff’s Sergeant Scoma.

“Lyons was booked that night at the Shasta County Jail and released a short time later,” the sergeant explained.

Released within hours of being arrested and booked into jail after a traffic stop last Friday led to the discovery of more than 100 pounds of marijuana, methamphetamine, and hundreds of prescription pain pills, a Shasta Lake woman today remains sought after a subsequent search warrant uncovered 220 more pounds of marijuana and more prescription pills on Wednesday. As their investigation continued, on Wednesday, Dec. 8, a City of Shasta Lake deputy authored a search warrant for Lyons’ residence; which was served with assistance from South County and City of Shasta Lake patrol station deputies, along with investigators from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team (MET).

“During the service of the search warrant, deputies located approximately 220 more pounds of processed marijuana packaged for sales, approximately ten pounds of Butane Honey Oil (concentrated cannabis), methamphetamine paraphernalia, and more prescription narcotic pills,” Scoma continued; adding, “Lyons was not at her residence during the time of the warrant service and is not in custody.”
