California Highway Patrol and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene around 11 p.m., CHP Sergeant Charles Murray has since reported.

When officials arrived they found a 2004 Toyota Camry Solara with a critically injured occupant. Despite life-saving efforts, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has since identified Savinder Singh, 52, of Moreno Valley, as the man killed in the crash. A Coroner’s release indicated he was pronounced deceased at 11:09 p.m.

During their subsequent investigation, CHP determined Singh had been traveling westbound on the 60 Freeway near Nason Road when he apparently lost control of his vehicle.

Singh’s Toyota then careened off the highway and up an embankment, where it then overturned multiple times before coming to rest back in the freeway’s lanes of travel.

No other vehicles were involved in the fatal crash.
