Mt. Shasta PD releases details of five recent arrests

MT. SHASTA, Calif., — Mt. Shasta Police Department reports that over the last two weeks, from Nov. 27 through Dec. 11, officers responded to 364 calls for service that resulted in twenty-one new cases and five arrests.

Comparatively, during the prior two-week period the department responded to 362 calls for service that resulted in twenty-one new cases and eight arrests, while the two-week period before that saw officers respond to 286 calls for service that resulted in seventeen new cases and eight arrests.

Public contacts resulting from 911 calls, self-initiated patrol activities, and other investigations over the last two weeks ended with arrests for a variety of mostly minor crimes such as trespassing, public intoxication, and out-of-county warrants. 

Other recent arrests included charges of obstructing or resisting a peace officer, battery on a peace officer, and driving while intoxicated.

Those arrested over the last two weeks include:

  • On November 28, 2021 32-year-old Ryan Hal Bickley was arrested for trespassing.
  • On November 29, 2021 32-year-old Ryan Hal Bickley was arrested for public intoxication.
  • On November 30, 2021 39-year-old Robert Ryan Nickols was arrested for driving under the influence.
  • On December 2, 2021 45-year-old Michael Lawrence Simons was arrested for resisting and/or obstructing a peace officer and Battery on a peace officer.
  • On December 9, 2021 39 year old Brooke Ford was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

Trevor spent 10 years in the U.S. Army as an Orthopedic Specialist before joining the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. During his time with the sheriff’s department, Trevor worked at several different stations; including Robert Presley Detention Center, Southwest Station in Temecula, Hemet/Valle Vista Station, Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center, and Lake Elsinore Station; along with other locations.

Trevor’s assignments included Corrections, Patrol, DUI Enforcement, Boat and Personal Water-Craft based Lake Patrol, Off-Road Vehicle Enforcement, Problem Oriented Policing Team, and Personnel/Background Investigations. He finished his career while working as a Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Investigator and was a court-designated expert in child abuse and child sex-related crimes.

Trevor has been married for more than 30 years and was a foster parent to more than 60 children over 13 years. He is now an adoptive parent and his “fluid family” includes 13 children and 18 grandchildren.
