Hemet P.D. DUI Investigation Leads to Multiple Felony Charges For Perris Couple

Hemet, Calif.; On Saturday Hemet Police officers arrested a couple for a variety of drug and child endangerment charges.

On October 7, officers from the Hemet police Department responded to a call of a possible drunk driver at the Syn Fast Oil Change business located at 3615 W. Florida Ave. A caller reported seeing two small children inside the vehicle.

Upon arrival, the officers contacted a male and female inside of the vehicle who were both displaying symptoms of being intoxicated. There was also a strong odor of Marijuana emitting from the interior of the vehicle.

The officers conducted their investigation and after speaking with witnesses learned that the male and female adults had switched seating positions in the vehicle when police arrived on scene.

Both suspects were eventually arrested for various DUI charges and willful cruelty to a child.

During the inventory search of the suspect’s vehicle prior to the vehicle being towed, the officers located a large trash bag which contained fifteen gallon-sized bags. Each of the bags contained marijuana. The bags contained a total of 14.9 lbs. of marijuana with a street value of $8,000. Additionally, the officers found $4,000, all in $100 dollar denominations.

Behind the same seat where the children were seated, the officers located a loaded 12 gauge shotgun.

CPS took custody of the children and both adults were arrested and booked for the below charges:

Moises Ferrerangeles 28-years-old of Perris was booked for carrying a loaded weapon with special circumstances, possession of marijuana, child endangerment, DUI alcohol with BAC over .08% and DUI drugs.

Priscila Ortizrosales, 29-years-old of Perris was booked for conspiracy to commit a crime, child endangerment, obstruct or resist a peace officer, drunk in public.
