Perris 2-Year-Old Suffers Major Injuries After Being Run Over In Driveway

On Monday, Nov. 9, a 2-year-old girl was run over and sustained severe trauma when someone accidentally backed their vehicle over the child. The young girl was playing in the driveway of a residence at the time of the accident.
At about 4:00 p.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Police station responded to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic accident that had occurred on the 1500 block of Metz Rd. in the city of Perris.
Deputies arrived and found an unresponsive, 2-year-old female laying in the driveway. The young girl was suffering from major, traumatic injuries. While firefighters and paramedics worked to stabilize the toddler, deputies conducted an initial investigation into the traffic accident.
The deputies’ subsequent investigation determined at the time of the accident, the young girl had been playing in a residential driveway. Not knowing the toddler was playing on the driveway behind his Ford Focus, a 28-year-old male backed over the child.
According to Sgt. Strang of the Riverside County Sheriff Department, the driver and toddler both reside at the same residence where the accident occurred; however, they are not related. Sgt. Strang reported the driver remained at the scene and waited for emergency personnel and law enforcement personnel to arrive and was cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. According to Sgt. Strang, neither alcohol nor drug impairment were suspected to be contributing factors in the tragic accident.
The child was later transported to a local hospital where she has been listed in critical condition.
Due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the toddler, the Perris Traffic Reconstruction Unit responded to the location of the accident to conduct a thorough traffic accident investigation.
The injured child’s name is being withheld by the sheriff’s department at this time.

Hopefully she recovers poor baby! !! But i want to know were the mother was at when her child 2 year old baby is playing out side, i never ever leave my kids pkay out side with out mw watching them!!!

My only problems have been from my site repeatedly crashing due to heavy traffic after I post a big story, or Lord forbid, two big stories, back-to-back. I upgraded to the first ($25) level of MAXCDN to help, which solved the problem for a while. However, my very first big news release afterwards crashed my page twice the next day, which is truly not bad compared to the more than a dozen crashes my site had the night before. On that evening I had one story that was averaging 13.2 views per minute and a second story averaging 11.8 views per minute. My page crashed between 12 and 14 times over just a few hours. I finally had to pull the story links off of Facebook. The page just couldn’t handle the insane amounts of traffic. That day, including all the time my page spent crashed and smoldering, I hit 10K views in 24 hours. I don’t know what is average for WP, but for me, that day was a disaster, tech wise.
The poor little girl. I pray for her and the man that ran her over accidently. I can’t imagnine how much guilt he feels right now. He has to believe it was an accident. My prayers goes out there for the both of them…
