Arrested in San Jacinto for attempted murder was Manuel Sanchez, 42, of San Jacinto.

SAN JACINTO – On December 10, a San Jacinto man was shot, leading to the arrest of a second San Jacinto resident.

At about 8:30 p.m., the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a call regarding a resident who had been shot and transported to a local area hospital by family members. Deputies from the San Jacinto Police Station responded to the hospital to conduct an investigation into the reported incident.

When deputies arrived, they located a male victim at the hospital, who was being treated for a gunshot wound. Investigators from the San Jacinto Police Station were called to the scene and assumed the investigation.

After a thorough investigation, a suspect was identified as Manuel Sanchez, 42-years-old, from San Jacinto. On December 13, Sanchez was taken into custody on N. Ramona Blvd. and charged with attempted homicide for his involvement in this crime. Sanchez was later booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional, where he was being held without bail. Sanchez is due in court on Dec. 16.

In a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Sergeant Robert Duckett wrote, “This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or knowledge of the incident is encouraged to contact Investigators Porrazzo or Wortman at (951) 791- 3400 at the San Jacinto Police Department.
